SENIOR SALESPERSON (VP SALES)
- Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Position: Senior Salesperson (VP Sales)
- Salary: RM11,000 – RM20,000 per month + 2%-5% commission on sales
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, or relevant fields
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- On behalf of our clients, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP Sales to lead our IT sales division, especially in the Software and BPO sections. This individual will be responsible for managing the overall sales funnel, fulfilling the sales target, driving revenue growth, and mentoring a high-performing sales team.
- The candidate will start as an independent consultant, with an initial performance review to ensure a strong fit. Based on performance, there’s potential to transition into a full-time role. This marks an exciting milestone as the first local hire in Malaysia, joining a growing and dynamic offshore team, and also the talented colleagues in Bangladesh. It’s a great opportunity to shape the role and make a meaningful impact from the start.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, develop, and manage the overall sales strategy and sales funnel.
- Manage the sales team under this window.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients (B2B) and stakeholders across Malaysia.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive IT product/service sales, especially software.
- Set sales targets and ensure the team meets or exceeds them.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT sales and especially in software in the Malaysia zone.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record in this area.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as per business requirements.
- Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
- Preference for candidates with relevant cultural or language familiarity to support local market engagement.
