Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Compliance:

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including GST and corporate tax requirements.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform account reconciliations.

2. Taxation:

• Assist in preparing and submitting Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other relevant tax filings.
• Provide advisory support on Australian tax matters to clients.

3. Client Engagement:

• Collaborate directly with Australian clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Build strong client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service.

4. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare periodic management reports, budgets, and forecasts for clients.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

5. Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes for efficiency.
• Leverage technology to improve accuracy and productivity in financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on Australian accounting standards.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in preparing BAS, payroll, and financial statements for Australian businesses.

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A commitment to providing high-quality service and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in a client-facing role is a plus.
